Want to teach crochet with confidence and build real-world teaching skills? This two-day, in-person Level 1 Crochet Instructor Training is designed to give you hands-on experience, personalised guidance, and the confidence to teach successfully.
Held just before the Crochet Convention in Wollongong this June, the course is taught face to face by a range of experienced crochet professionals from across the Guild.
Learning in person means you can ask questions as they arise, receive immediate feedback on your technique, and take part in open forum discussions where instructors share practical insights from their own teaching experiences, all grounded in the course curriculum.
Why in-person training makes a difference
What you’ll learn
Across the two days, you’ll complete practical crochet activities, participate in guided group activities, and work through written components that reinforce key teaching concepts. You’ll receive a comprehensive training manual before the course begins to help you prepare your samples in advance, support you during the training, and serve as an ongoing reference afterwards.
On successful completion of the assessment tasks, you’ll receive your Level 1 Instructor Certificate and badge, with the option to continue on to Level 2 and work toward a Teacher Certificate.
Two full-day sessions: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Students are required to arrive 30 minutes early on day one to drop off their completed crochet samples. These will be assessed during the face-to-face teacher program
