Join award-winning crochet designer and educator Jenny King for an inspiring half-day workshop at the National Crochet Conference. Dive into the world of shawl design as Jenny equips participants with the knowledge and skills to create their own unique pieces.
In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore the endless possibilities of shawl shapes, stitches, and techniques. From experimenting with increases and decreases to discovering the 19 different ways to craft a shawl, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the design process.
Jenny will guide participants through the fundamentals of shawl design, covering topics such as colour selection, stitch patterns, yarn choice, hook size, and the intended purpose and size of the shawl. With Jenny's expert guidance, participants will learn to listen to their yarn and let it guide their creative decisions.
This workshop isn't just about following patterns—it's about empowering participants to become designers in their own right. Armed with the knowledge gained from this workshop, attendees will leave with the confidence to design and create their own stunning shawls.
