Workshop 30: Free-Form Stitches

Please bring the following to workshop:

Please bring a variety of yarns (in any ply, texture or fibre content is OK, but in colours that they think will go together well) and a range of hooks that suit the thickness of the yarns chosen...similar for the bullion stitch class, but they should choose smooth yarns for this workshop. Because many yarns are not ideal for creating neat and tidy bullions (and different yarns work better or worse for different crocheters) students will learn what to watch for when selecting yarns for their bullions (based on whether they are left or right handed and the direction they normally wrap their working yarn around the hook). If it turns out that the yarns anyone brings isn't really ideal for the way they crochet, I will supply a small skein (free of charge) that they can use in the class. I can also supply extra individual small skeins for $5 (or packs with 6 small skeins in various colours at $25 per pacK) if I am allowed to sell at the workshop. For either workshop, small quantities of yarn left over from other projects will be fine, and will add a variety of colours to the samples...but please stress that it is best to have a variety of both smooth and textured yarns for the general freeform class, but that they should stick with smooth yarns for the bullion stitch class.

Please note: This session will be delivered in-person only - no online offering will be made available.

Sessions run concurrently on each day, so please only choose one full-day session OR no more than one each morning or afternoon sessions per day!
