Wow! We all love Tunisian Crochet and our very own Abbey from Abbeymade in Australia - is our home grown expert with an international following that continues to grow.
This class will teach you all the tricks of the trade to make any of the 7 patterns from the Tessellate Me pattern series by Abbeymade.
(Yep, SEVEN patterns - all from learning this Tunisian stitch sequence that Abbey will teach in her workshop).
From T-shirt, to Cowl, Shawl, Mits, Cardigan, Beannie and more - her stunningly creative tunisian stitch technique can showcase you how you can create any of her 7 garments in the series.
These patterns use non-standard entrelac methods suited for garments without any seams. A standard crochet hook with thumb grips will be fine for making entrelac but you can use rigid Tunisian hooks as well.
You will learn the core skills needed to make any of the 7 patterns from this series. Tessellate Me includes the very popular size inclusive pattern, Diamonds Not Pearls.
Homework: Tunisian crochet fundamentals – foundation row, Tunisian simple stitch, yarn over increases and tss2tog decreases. Look at some YouTube Videos on Tunisian Stitch basics so you can come armed with knowledge of these skills before coming to this class.
STUDENTS WILL BE TAUGHT THE PATTERN SEQUENCE IN THIS CLASS BUT WILL NOT BE PROVIDED WITH THE 7 PATTERN BUNDLE. IT IS RECOMMENDED YOU PRE-PURCHASE THIS BUNDLE FROM ABBEYMADE AND BRING TO THE CLASS TO SELECT THE ITEM YOU WISH TO CREATE.

Please bring the following to workshop:

2 contrasting colours of good quality 8 ply yarn in any fibre content.

Standard crochet hook or rigid Tunisian crochet hook to suit your yarn. Recommend 5.5 or 6mm hooks with 8 ply yarn, tension dependent.
Please note: This session will be delivered in-person only - no online offering will be made available.
Sessions run concurrently on each day, so please only choose one full-day session OR no more than one each morning or afternoon sessions per day!
