Crochet Guild Australia's President Lynley Buckley, will teach this workshop where we explore the world of doilys and their use in modern crochet.

Not for Grannies any more - Doilys have made a leap into fashion where we have seen them turned into beautiful lacy dresses, wall hangings, table settings and more.

We will create a fabulous doily designed especially for this class by Emily Penn of The Loopy Stitch.  Whether you know them as a, doily or mandala, the lines are blurred. The fun is real.

Learn about tension, blocking, finishing and changing colours. Learn about choice of yarn for a placemat, a coaster, a wall piece or 'doily', using the same pattern.

This workshop is perfect for both experienced beginners and long time crocheters looking to add a touch of nostalgia to their work. Come with an open mind, a willingness to learn, and a desire to revive this lost art, and leave feeling inspired and proud of your newfound skills.

Pattern included and will be emailed prior to the class.
