  • 220 Pitt Street, Sydney NSW

Registration

Using Susan’s patterns, attendees will learn how to work with crochet garment patterns to achieve great fit for YOUR body! Come away with the principles of “Crochet Fit-Ness” to apply to other patterns.

Before the conference students will receive:

  • sizing & yarn information, schematic diagram and swatching instructions for all 3 designs
  • individual coupon code to purchase all 3 patterns from Ravelry as a discounted bundle.

Students will choose 1 of these designs to work with and make 2 swatches to bring to class (using indicated hook and yarn, or closest yarn substitute that you hope to use for the project).

This is a hands-on workshop to prepare your garment project for “Crochet Fit-Ness” success (but does not involve much crocheting during the session – it's more about practical measuring, math, learning factors that affect fit-ness and applying learned principles).

The class will combine group discussion with some individual feedback/advice & the practical activity of taking body measurements and be supported by Power Point slide presentation/projected laptop display.

During the workshop students will receive:

  • worksheets for a systematic approach (and examples of math)
  • feedback on swatches (gauge/stitch technique)
  • tips for how to take body measurements and understand sizing
  • information re factors affecting fit (includes handout)
  • slide presentation with support material as we move through the steps/activities and group discussion.

At the end of the class students will:

  • have the tools and knowledge for great “Fit-Ness” of their chosen design & be ready to dive in to making their project with confidence!
  • broader learning of all principles from group discussions regarding all 3 garments.
