Join us for an engaging and educational crochet workshop with Arunima Goel, a dedicated and experienced instructor who is passionate about Tunisian crochet. This full-day session is perfect for those looking to explore the simplicity and beauty of Tunisian Mosaic Crochet.

You'll gain an understanding of the Tunisian Mosaic Crochet technique and learn to create the squares for the Zuri blanket. Arunima will provide workshop-related handouts to guide your learning, offering clear and supportive instructions throughout the day. This welcoming environment will allow you to build confidence and connect with fellow crocheters.

Arunima Goel, a software engineer with over 15 years of crochet experience, started designing crochet patterns six years ago and fell in love with Tunisian crochet. Her patterns aim to offer a learning experience, focusing on timeless beauty and the potential to become cherished heirlooms passed down through generations.

Date: Saturday 28 June 2025
Duration: 9:00am - 5:00pm (includes 1 hour lunch)

General admission for the day (Saturday, 28 June).

Please bring the following with you to the workshop session:

  • A 'pointy' 6 mm Tunisian crochet hook that can accommodate at least 43 stitches (it can be a long hook or one with a cable).
  • DK weight / 8 ply yarn in two contrasting colors (1 ball each). Choose yarn that's easy to work with and doesn't split easily.
  • crochet stitch markers
  • scissors and yarn needle for finishing
  • notebook and pen

Workshop notes:

Picking the right hook and yarn is crucial for your first Tunisian Mosaic project. The yarn should be easy to work with, and the hook should be pointy to pick the right loops and bars. The yarn should also have enough contrast for the pattern to be clearly visible. Although a 6 mm hook is recommended, having a range of hook sizes (5 mm to 8 mm) is helpful for matching the right hook to your yarn.

Please note: This session will be delivered in-person only - no online offering will be made available.
