Join Vicky Ledwy, Secretary of the Crochet Guild Australia, at the National Crochet Conference for an enriching workshop on crocheting with t-shirt yarn. Participants will have the choice of creating either a small wooden-bottom basket or a vinyl-bottom handbag, with all bases provided.
Through Vicky's guidance, students will conquer the challenges of working with thicker, stretchier mediums and integrate solid matter pieces into their crochet projects. They will learn advanced stitches such as the 'Split dc' stitch, 'knit' stitch, and 'Waistcoat' stitch, as well as surface stitching techniques to enhance the durability and aesthetic appeal of their creations. Proficiency in basic stitches like Tr, dc, ch, and ss is recommended.
Vicky Ledwy brings over 40 years of crochet teaching experience, having shared her expertise through TAFE courses, her own studio, craft groups, and online platforms. As a seasoned crochet designer and instructor, Vicky's contributions to the crochet community extend beyond teaching, with active involvement in social media engagement, organizing Crochet Alongs (CALs), and leadership roles in various crafting associations. Don't miss this opportunity to learn from Vicky and elevate your crochet skills to new heights.
