Discover the fascinating art of broomstick crochet with Lynette Latomanski at the National Crochet Conference! During this engaging half-day workshop, participants will embark on a journey to master the broomstick crochet technique.

Lynette will guide attendees through the basics, including how to start with a set number of loops and explore variations using different loop counts and twists. In addition to learning the fundamentals, participants will discover how to increase and decrease stitches, unlocking the ability to create intricate and dynamic designs. Lynette will provide demonstrations and samples using various yarn weights and hook/needle sizes, empowering participants to adapt the technique to their own unique projects.

As a seasoned crochet, knitting, and sewing enthusiast with over 50 years of experience, Lynette brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her workshops. Her background as a graphic designer and extensive teaching experience make her the perfect guide to lead participants on their broomstick crochet journey.

Duration: Afternoon session: 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Inclusions:  Lynette will provide handouts at the workshop.
General admission for the day (Saturday, 29 June).
Skill Level:  Intermediate – Can read patterns and charts. Is comfortable making different styles and forms of crochet.

Please bring the following to the workshop:

  • 4 ply yarn in any composition
  • 5mm crochet hook
  • 25mm knitting needle
  • crochet stitch markers
  • scissors
  • yarn needle

Please note: This session will be delivered in-person only - no online offering will be made available.

Sessions run concurrently on each day, so please only choose one full-day session OR no more than one each morning or afternoon sessions per day!
