In this workshop, Shelley will share her expert tips and tricks for creating flawless crochet pieces, ensuring that participants leave with the confidence to tackle The Cove blanket pattern. The Cove isn't just about the finished product; it's about embracing the crochet journey and finding beauty in every stitch.

Inspired by the Australian coastline, The Cove blanket takes crocheters on a scenic adventure with its progressive design. From the sunrise centre to the intricate patterns mirroring the sights and sounds of the coast, participants will experience the joy of creating while immersing themselves in the tranquillity of nature.

Whether you opt for a short stroll with a baby blanket, a leisurely walk with a lap blanket, or a grand exploration with a bed blanket, The Cove offers something for every crocheter. Don't miss this opportunity to learn from Shelley Husband and embark on a crochet voyage that celebrates the beauty of both the process and the finished creation.

Duration: Morning session: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Inclusions:  Shelley will provide some workshop-related handouts.
General admission for the day (Saturday, 29 June).
Skill Level:  Adventurous beginner – Can make basic stitches and work in the round (i.e. granny square). Or a more advanced crocheter looking to start their own Cove blanket with insights directly from Shelley. 

Please bring the following to the workshop:

  • solid coloured yarn (any fibre) in 8ply

  • hook size to suit yarn (4 or 4.5 mm hook)

  • scissors 

  • crochet stitch markers

  • yarn needle

Note that The Cove pattern has a number of options for finished blanket size and can require up yardage of up to 4850 - 5335m of yarn. 

Please note: This session will be delivered in-person only - no online offering will be made available.

Sessions run concurrently on each day, so please only choose one full-day session OR no more than one each morning or afternoon sessions per day!
