Join Leisa Thrippleton at the National Crochet Conference for a half-day workshop on "How to Make a Granny Square." Geared towards complete beginners, this session aims to provide the foundational skills needed to create a classic crochet staple.

Leisa will start by covering the basics of handling yarn and holding the hook, ensuring participants feel confident and comfortable from the outset. Attendees will learn essential techniques such as chaining and maintaining proper tension before progressing to double crochet stitches, the building blocks of the granny square. Throughout the workshop, participants will also discover how to change colors and seamlessly attach new colors to their squares, adding depth and vibrancy to their creations.

With over 10 years of self-taught crochet experience and a track record of successfully teaching over 500 students in weekly face-to-face workshops, Leisa brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her classes.   • Participants are not required to bring supplies to this workshop but might find it helpful to bring a pen and notepad.

Sessions run concurrently on each day, so please only choose one full-day session OR no more than one each morning or afternoon sessions per day!
