For the first time ever in Australia,

there is an event dedicated specifically to Crochet! 


Raise your hooks, come and celebrate with us for the Crochet Guild Australia Inaugural Conference and ‘Let the Sunshine In!’ 


The Conference will be held at the Maroochy RSL Events Centre on the Sunshine Coast on June 4th, 5th and 6th 2021. Enjoy three glorious days in Queensland in winter! There will be 16 workshops for all skill levels scheduled across the three days where you will have the chance to learn from expert teachers. 


Mingle with like-minded people and share craft at the Friday evening welcome event and shop for yarn, hooks, books and notions at our 3-day Trade Show.


The Saturday night Crochet Banquet Dinner will include a wonderful guest speaker, Dr Veronica Lampkin, who will tell us about Madame Weigel, the woman who clothed the Australasian Colonies. And last but certainly not least, a fashion parade will accompany the dinner - all crochet pieces of course! 


If you love to learn, share, or just relax with crochet, then this will be the place to be! Come and share the story of how crochet has added sunshine to your life. 


Date: Friday 4 June - Sunday 6 June 2021 Times: Conference doors open 9:00am - 5:00pm daily, with a variety of workshops throughout the day. Location: Maroochy RSL Events Centre, 105 Memorial Ave, Maroochydore Queensland. REGISTRATION

Upon arrival to the Maroochy RSL, you will be required to check in to the venue using the Check in QLD app. 

Look out for the Crochet Guild Australia banner at the bottom of the stairs and head up to level 1 using the stairs or lift. 

The registration area is located in the centre of level one, directly opposite the lift entrance. We will have friendly volunteers at the top of the stairs to guide you! See the venue map below for more details.

Please have your tickets handy to receive your lanyard & conference welcome bag upon registration.

 

 

PARKING DETAILS

Maroochy RSL has a complimentary multi-level car park for guests located directly across the road from the club entry on Memorial Drive. Simply validate your parking on departure with the doorman or reception at the Maroochy RSL using your registration number.

LET THE STITCHES SHINE PARADE

 

Due to the amazing support and registrations we've received for our Let The Stitches Shine Parade on Saturday night, we've moved the time forward from 6:30pm to 6:15pm. This will ensure that everyone who has registered has the opportunity to showcase their work and we are still on time for our Banquet Dinner which will follow the parade. Our Trade Show is open after workshops conclude until 6:00pm and the Elevations Bar, located in the foyer of the venue, will open at 6:00pm. We look forward to celebrating the parade with you all!

Tickets at the Door

Did you miss the cut-off date for a ticket to our CGA Conference?  Never fear, we have a solution because we would love to see you there!

3-day and 1-Day Conference Passes or Day Trip Tickets will be available at the door (cash only, and an ATM is available at the RSL).

If you decide you would like to participate in a crochet class on the day, most workshops have limited spaces left, so it will be first in best dressed!  You can also pay with cash at the registration desk with your conference pass.

PLEASE NOTE: our cut-off date for catering has finished, this means if you purchase a 1- day pass morning tea will not be included, but a café will be open to you at the venue. There are also no member discounts at the door.




Conference Ticket Types:

EARLY BIRD TICKETS are available until 1 April and a 15% discount will automatically be applied to all Conference Tickets only

(Please note that the Early Bird prices do not include the Banquet Dinner or Workshop tickets)

Our conference will include a range of incredible vendors, who will be available across the 3 days, to meet, learn from and support. We will have approximately 13 industry stalls set up for all attendees to experience.
